The Power of Stepping Away

Rest isn’t a reward. It’s a necessity—part of the rhythm we need to thrive.

Just space.

But this isn’t just about vacation. It’s about rhythm. We aren’t meant to be always-on. Even ancient traditions knew that—baking rest into the week through the Sabbath. A pause. A reset. A return.

We need that rhythm. Not just the big breaks, but the small ones too—daily, weekly. Micro-rests and macro-ones. They’re not indulgences. They’re how we reconnect to clarity, creativity, conviction. When we step away, the noise quiets. What matters begins to rise.

Professionally, time off sharpens the edge. Personally, it brings us back to ourselves and the people we want to be. Clarity isn’t found in the grind. It’s found in the gaps.

So as I sign off for a bit, consider this your nudge: build in the pause. Make space for reflection, for nothingness, for recalibration. The world can wait.

Back soon,
Liz
